InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort’s Easter Egg Hunt – On Easter Sunday, our little InterContinental travellers are invited to embark on a fun-filled chocolate egg hunt through the resort’s gardens.

Take the kids to Sanctuary Cove Chocolate Shop – Located only a short stroll away from the resort in Marine Village, this boutique chocolate shop is the perfect place to pick up Easter-themed treats. Mt Tamborine – The remnant of an ancient volcano, Mt Tamborine is a great place to spend a day connecting with your family over nature’s great beauty. Take a walk through the lush rainforest; home to a variety of fauna and tropical flora including century old trees, prehistoric ferns and the occasional shy wallaby. Unsurprisingly, Mt Tamborine is a haven for artists of all disciplines, so a visit to one of the galleries in well worthwhile.

Feed a crocodile in Dreamworld – Home to a selection of animal encounters that you can pre-book to make your experience even wilder. From Tiger meets, Sunset Safari Experience, dingo experiences and crocodile feeding there is an animal for everyone! Adrenaline- chasers can find a host of thrilling rollercoasters and themed rides throughout the rest of the park. 

Take a day trip to Southport - As far as free entertainment goes, Southport Broadwater has it in the bag. Helicopters and vintage planes fly overhead, speeding jet boats carve up the water and there’s 3 kilometers of playground, including a huge ‘bouncing pillow’, sculptural water park with fountains and simulated rock pools. A flying fox, swings, and lots of open grassed area to run around means an enjoyably active day for all.    

Street Entertainment Carnival – Over the Easter long weekend the children, and the child in you, can enjoy watching some of Queensland’s best buskers as Surfers Paradise becomes a carnival of laughter and entertainment with the Australian Street Entertainment Carnival. Leave the children in awe as they witness knife-juggling, sword swallowing, acrobatic and more.
